Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Instrument Cluster (3 - 4 Years Experience)

• Design and develop

  mechanical components

  for

  automotive instrument clusters

  , considering performance, cost, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Create

  3D CAD models

  and

  2D drawings

  using tools like

  CATIA V5, Creo.

• Work closely with

  cross-functional teams

  (electronics, software, industrial design, and validation) to ensure seamless product integration.
• Perform

  tolerance stack-up analysis

  ,

  DFMEA

  , and

  design validation

  .
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure

  DFM (Design for Manufacturing)

  and

  DFS (Design for Serviceability)

  requirements are met.
• Support

  prototyping

  ,

  tooling

  , and

  product testing

  phases.
• Maintain accurate

  design documentation

  , BOMs, and change control records.
• Participate in

  design reviews

  ,

  technical discussions

  , and

  issue resolution

  throughout the development cycle.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree

  in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• 3 - 4 years of experience

  in

  automotive mechanical design

  , specifically with

  instrument clusters or similar cockpit systems

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  CAD tools

  like CATIA, Creo.
• Familiarity with

  GD&T

  ,

  plastics design

  ,

  injection moulding

  , and

  mechanical packaging

  .
• Good understanding of

  automotive standards

  ,

  validation protocols

  , and

  PPAP

  processes.
• Experience working with

  OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers

  is a plus.
• Strong

  problem-solving skills

  , ability to work independently and within teams.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
