Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop concepts for special-purpose machines (SPM) and automation equipment.
• Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor.
• Perform calculations for mechanical strength, tolerance, fits, and GD&T.
• Select suitable mechanical elements (actuators, bearings, gears, motors, pneumatic/hydraulic elements, etc.).
• Collaborate with the electrical, controls, and production teams for end-to-end machine development.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety norms, and customer requirements.
• Conduct design reviews and support the fabrication & assembly team during machine building.
• Provide BOM (Bill of Materials) and documentation for procurement and manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot and provide design support during machine installation and commissioning.
• Continuously improve designs for cost-effectiveness, reliability, and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design (preferably in SPM / automation industry).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor (knowledge of simulation tools is an advantage).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and machining practices.
• Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and motion systems.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Pay depends on skill and Experience in SPM Industry.
