Key Responsibilities

• Design and developsheet metal components and assembliesfor medical devices usingSolidWorks.
• Create detailed3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMsadhering to industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, and quality) to ensuredesign feasibility and compliance with medical device standards.
• Apply knowledge ofsheet metal cutting, bending, forming, welding, and hardware selectionin the design process.
• Conductdesign reviews, tolerance analysis, and DFMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly)studies.
• Work closely with vendors to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and quality of sheet metal parts.
• Performdesign modifications, prototyping, and testingto validate designs.
• Maintain proper documentation as perISO and medical device regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degreein Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• 25 yearsof experience in mechanical design (preferably in sheet metal parts and assemblies).
• Strong proficiency inSolidWorks (Sheet Metal, Weldments, and Assembly modules).
• Solid understanding ofsheet metal fabrication processes cutting, bending, laser cutting, punching, forming, and welding.
• Experience in selecting and designing withmechanical fasteners, hinges, latches, and hardware.
• Knowledge ofGD&T, tolerance stack-up, and engineering standards.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Exposure tomedical devices or regulated industries(preferred but not mandatory).
