Job Description

Design & CAD Mastery Develop 3D models in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or your weapon of choice. Apply GD&T, tolerances, and DFM/DFA to make sure your designs aren t just cool but actually manufacturable..
Optimization & Manufacturing Readiness Design for manufacturing & assembly (DFM/DFA) while balancing weight, cost, and ease of production.
Simulation & Validation Conduct simulations, analyze forces, perform finite element analysis (FEA), and stress-test components for reliability. If something doesn t work tweak it until it does.
Material Selection Work with our materials team to select the right materials based on strength, weight, and cost.
Technical Documentation Maintain structured documentation of design changes, revisions, and progress.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration Work closely with robotics engineers to align designs with functional requirements and smart mechanical solutions.
Engineering Calculations Perform torque, force, and motion calculations to validate designs. Utilize multibody dynamics to assess full system performance.

Software Proficiency

CAD: SolidWorks, Fusion 360
Simulation & Analysis: ANSYS, Altair, MSC Adams, RecurDyn

Requirements & Skills

Passion for automobile/robotics design and mechanical systems
Strong understanding of mechanisms, kinematics, and dynamics
Proficiency in CAD, FEA, and multibody dynamics simulation
3-4 years of Real-world design and manufacturing experienc
