Role Overview

• Position: Math and Statistics Subject-Matter Expert (SME) – Contract, Remote
• Commitment: ~40hrs/week, minimum availability of ~20 hrs/week, Initial commitment of 18 weeks
• Collaborate with AI research teams to enhance AI model training data quality in Math domains.
  

Responsibilities

• Guide research teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance in Math.
• Create and maintain precise annotation standards tailored to Math domain specialties.
• Develop guidelines and rubrics to assess Math reasoning across tasks.
• Design challenging Math tasks and write accurate solutions.
• Evaluate Math tasks and solutions, providing clear feedback.
• Collaborate with other SMEs to ensure consistency and accuracy in training data.
  

Requirements / Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

• Location: Currently living in the US
• Education: A Master's or Ph.D. degree from a top-tier university in Mathematics OR Industry-recognized credentials like IMO/Putnam medalists
• 3+ years of professional experience in a math-centered role at a reputable institution
• Domain expertise in 1 or more of the following: Foundations, Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Number Theory, Topology
  

Engagement Details

• Pay rate: $110-$130 per hour
• Flexible, remote work with significant impact on AI model development
• Initial commitment of 18 weeks, potential to extend
• Join calibration calls with the client’s team 2-5x per week
