Material Data Specialist – Cataloguing & Codification

Role Description

We are hiring a Material Cataloguer for an on-site role based in Hyderabad, Telangana. The ideal candidate will have experience in material cataloguing, codification standards, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Item identification and material cataloguing
• Technical data population using various sources
• Duplicate item analysis and resolution
• Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and maintenance
• SPIR/SPIL review and development
• Codification using MESC and UNSPSC standards
• Material master data management in ERP systems (SAP MM preferred)
• Coordination with engineering, maintenance, and procurement teams

Qualifications

Required:

• 4–10 years of experience in material management or cataloguing
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech)
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP MM preferred)
• Knowledge of MESC and UNSPSC standards
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database tools
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

• Background in industrial, oil & gas, or EPC sectors
• Certifications in material management or data governance
