Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design, document, and execute
test cases
based on requirements and user stories.
Apply
test defect techniques
to identify, log, and track defects effectively.
Manage the
defect lifecycle
from identification to closure, ensuring timely resolution.
Perform
database testing
(SQL queries, data validation, integrity checks).
Conduct
API testing using Postman
(functional, regression, and performance validation).
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure product quality.
Provide clear test reports and communicate risks/issues to stakeholders.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of
manual testing concepts
and test case design.
Handson experience with
defect management tools
(e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Understanding of
defect lifecycle and defect prevention techniques
.
Proficiency in
SQL
for database testing and validation.
Experience in
API testing with Postman
(collections, environments, assertions).
Familiarity with
SDLC and STLC processes
.
Good analytical and communication skills.

Nice to Have

Exposure to
automation testing tools
(Selenium, TestNG).
Knowledge of
performance testing
basics.
Experience with
CI/CD pipelines
and version control (Git).

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
3–6 years of software testing experience.
Strong problemsolving and documentation skills.
