Job Description

As Manager Robot Motion Planning and Control, you will lead the development of motion planning and control algorithms and mentor a team of talented engineers. You will oversee multiple robotic systems tackling challenging problems in cutting-edge robotics technology and applications. Collaborating closely with a cross-disciplinary team, you will efficiently implement ongoing research and ideas into our robot technology platform. Your innovative ideas will be transformed into impactful actions, creating intelligent, collaborative, and intuitive robots. An ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of robot kinematics and dynamics, coupled with experience in optimal path and trajectory planning. Your responsibilities will include defining the technical direction and coherent strategy for motion planning and control algorithms across various robotic platforms, designing and implementing motion planning algorithms for obstacle avoidance, singularity avoidance, and autonomous motion, coordinating the development of a robust system-level design for software and hardware, collaborating with engineers from different disciplines, and leading and mentoring the team to achieve product milestones effectively. The role requires a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in software development using C/C++ on Linux platforms, a strong foundation in robot kinematics, dynamics, and controls, and an understanding of complex motion planning algorithms such as RRT* and A*. Experience in implementing these algorithms on hardware is advantageous. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Familiarity with ROS or other publish-subscribe systems, as well as knowledge of software development processes and best practices, are desirable. The ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment, tackle new challenges, and solve unfamiliar problems are crucial. The ideal candidate should hold an MS/MTech (or higher) degree with specialization in Robotics or a related discipline.,
