About the department:

Reinsurance Administration is a crucial element in managing the reinsurance of the organization.

The value chain of processes which impact reinsurance is vast spanning across multiple functions from Actuarial for selection of a new reinsurer; Treaty/ Addendum, Product for new developments and system set-ups, Underwriting, Claims, Legal litigations, Accounts for reinsurance premium payment.

It requires efficient co-ordination, strong governance and implementation of checks, controls and co-ordination by all stakeholders across.

Purpose of the Job:

As a Manager, the role requires governing the processes under the reinsurance value chain, identifying areas of improvement, managing reinsurance Treaty review and sign-off by stakeholders, tracking audit/ SDA actionables of stakeholders, and adherences to BPM TAT and SLAs .

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analyze data, perform RCA, identify patterns of deviations, and recommend solutions, controls to stakeholders.
  
• Maintain track of pending, ageing and closure of RCA, Audit ATRs, SDA observations and gaps identified.
  
• Manage relationships with stakeholders and coordinate with them for reinsurance Treaty reviews and sign-offs.
  
• Ensure accurate and timely collation of monthly/ quarterly certifications.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Educational qualification: Minimum Graduate/ Post Graduate
• Work experience 5 to 7 years of experience in life insurance underwriting/ actuarial/ reinsurance management. Life insurance Product and Process knowledge
• System knowledge- LifeAsia / reNova wrt to product set-up and reinsurance premium.
