Mainframe Developer

Role Overview: As a Mainframe Developer, you will be responsible for providing full life cycle development with COBOL. You should understand coding standards and implement them within the code being developed. Troubleshooting problems and providing solutions, as well as communicating with users to determine problems or design requirements, are key aspects of this role. You may work individually or as part of a team to complete programming projects in a timely manner. Additionally, you will need to document changes and follow the Systems Development Life Cycle process independently. Key Responsibilities: - Provide full life cycle development with COBOL - Understand and implement coding standards - Troubleshoot problems and provide solutions - Communicate with users to determine problems or design requirements - Work individually or as part of a team to complete programming projects - Document changes and follow the Systems Development Life Cycle process - Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager of Application Development Qualifications Required: - Experience in COBOL programming, and programming in a mainframe environment - Good Experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS - Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with both the business community and the technical community - Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail - Ability to work with APIs to/from source systems,
