Role Overview: As a Mainframe Developer with expertise in Blu Age and Mainframe Modernization, you will be responsible for driving modernization efforts by leveraging Blu Age tools to automate the transformation of legacy mainframe systems. Your role will involve delivering solutions that ensure optimal system performance and scalability, working closely with business stakeholders and other IT professionals to develop strategies and implement migration solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize Blu Age automation tools to analyze, modernize, and transform legacy mainframe applications into more modern and scalable solutions. - Lead initiatives for migrating and modernizing core mainframe systems, including re-platforming or re-architecting mainframe-based applications. - Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications to meet business needs during the transition to modern platforms. - Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Monitor and optimize mainframe systems for maximum efficiency and performance during the modernization process. - Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for mainframe applications, pre- and post-modernization. - Prepare detailed documentation and reports on modernization processes, development activities, and overall progress of migration efforts. Qualification Required: - Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with mainframe development and modernization, including extensive use of Blu Age for automating mainframe application transformation. - Expertise in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS, and JCL. - Familiarity with mainframe architecture, system performance tuning, and integration strategies. - Proficiency in Blu Age tools and methodologies for mainframe modernization, including migration to cloud or distributed environments. - Strong understanding of modern development practices such as DevOps, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.). - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues in both legacy and modernized systems. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders. - Experience working within Agile and/or Waterfall project environments. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
