About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Mainframe CICS Developer with strong hands-on experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting CICS-based transaction processing applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in COBOL programming, CICS transaction management, and mainframe technologies to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain CICS transaction processing applications using COBOL Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Develop and modify online CICS programs for various business functions
• Perform CICS application troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning Work with DB2, VSAM, and IMS databases for data management and retrieval Write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data processing
• Implement changes to existing CICS applications as per enhancement requests Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT activities
• Create and maintain technical documentation including program specifications and flow diagrams Coordinate with business analysts, testers, and production support teams
• Support production releases and deployments during maintenance windows Participate in on-call rotation for production support (as needed)
• Implement error handling and logging mechanisms in CICS applications Follow SDLC best practices and coding standards

• Exposure to Mainframe modernization or cloud migration projects Understanding of PL/I or Assembler
• Experience with CA-7, CA-11, or similar job scheduling tools Knowledge of COBOL-DB2 program optimization techniques

Domain Knowledge:

• Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance domain experience preferred Understanding of core banking operations or payment systems is a plus
