Mainframe Batch Operations

As a member of the 24/7 Mainframe Operations Center team at Nordik Bank, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Monitoring Mainframe Batch Operations using IWS OPC for end-to-end monitoring of batch jobs and scheduling - Interacting with clients and different teams on a daily basis to ensure smooth batch cycles for applications - Coordinating with application teams to address any issues during batch cycles and meeting critical deadline times - Resolving abends, restarting, marking jobs as complete, canceling jobs, analyzing late jobs, etc., through OPC scheduler - Participating in Major incident bridge calls and handling meetings and discussions regarding implementations and changes - Preparing reports and documents, handling adhoc requests to schedule jobs, applications, and periods in OPC - Providing immediate fixes, submitting jobs, investigating long-running jobs, and changing priorities and service classes of the Regions job if required - Performing mainframe console operations, system health checks, IPL on all LPARs during maintenance windows, and troubleshooting during IPL - Responding to WTORs by referring to process documents, handling hardware-related issues, raising service requests with hardware providers - Handling resource contentions, taking actions for alerts on the production system, performing DR tests, attending daily huddle and change meetings - Enabling transactions through automation and commands, and having knowledge of the HMC tool Additional skills that would be advantageous include expertise in: - Technology->Infrastructure-Mainframes->Operations and Scheduling->Batch monitoring Technical Requirements: - Batch Operations - Mainframe Batch Operations,
