LTE/5G Modem Protocol Engineer

Role Overview: You will be a part of HARMAN Lifestyle team, collaborating with a global, multi-disciplinary team to enhance the listening experience and connect consumers with superior sound through cutting-edge technology. You will work on high-end brands like JBL, Mark Levinson, and Revel, contributing your skills to elevate audio innovation. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and validate 5G and LTE new features and new KPIs based on NR 5G and LTE protocol including ML1, LL1, RRC, RLC, MAC, PDCP, and IP. - Work on different protocol features for Android and iOS applications and validate them. - Fix identified issues and validate the fixes. - Support customers for troubleshooting and demo. - Collaborate closely with various teams for new feature integration, validation, issue troubleshooting, and fix validation. - Document user manuals for applications, new features, and devices. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 8+ years of experience in Android/iOS/desktop application development. - Experience in domain knowledge such as NR 5G, LTE, VoLTE, TCP/IP, and RIL (LTE, CDMA, EvDO, WCDMA, GSM/EDGE). - Preferred experience with wireless networks, architecture, and protocols. - Familiarity with wireless modem logging, analysis, capturing, and understanding of modem/application processor architectures. - Proficiency with protocol analyzers and test tools like XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, QCAT, MA, and STT. - Strong Java programming skills with good problem-solving abilities. - Knowledge of object-oriented principles, design patterns, and efficient multithreading. - Expertise in Android/iOS SDK and different versions of Android. - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science or equivalent degree is required.,
