Looker Developer

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Mid-Level Looker Developer to design and maintain data models, dashboards,

and analytics solutions that help transform data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate has

hands-on experience with LookML, strong SQL skills, and a solid understanding of modern data

warehousing concepts. Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support analytics and

reporting initiatives. The role involves supporting end-to-end BI solution development,

collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality data insights that enable business

decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain LookML models, explores, and views aligned with business

requirements.

• Build and optimize dashboards, visualizations, and reports in Looker.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver analytical

solutions.

• Ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability of Looker environments.

• Apply best practices in Looker development, including version control (Git) and modular

design.

• Integrate Looker with data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.

• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data for reporting

purposes.

• Troubleshoot Looker issues related to data, queries, or visualizations.

• Support ad hoc data exploration and help business teams interpret insights.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related

field.

• 3–5 years of experience in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics, including 2+ years in

Looker.

• Proficiency in LookML and SQL (query optimization and joins).

• Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and data transformation concepts.

• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Experience with one or more cloud data warehouses (Google BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift,

etc.).

• Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative development.

• Excellent analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

• Looker certification (LookML Developer or Business Analyst).

• Exposure to Python, DBT, or data pipeline tools.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.
