Looker Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BI Developer with a strong background in Looker. The ideal candidate will have at least 4.5 to 10 years of total IT experience in Business Intelligence space with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Looker and few years with Power BI / other reporting tools like Qlik / Tableau.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy BI solutions using Power BI.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective dashboards and reports.
• Develop and optimize

  LookML models

  , explores and dashboards in Looker.
• Create complex DAX queries, data models and interactive dashboards in Power BI.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Provide expertise in data visualization best practices and storytelling techniques.
• Perform data analysis and deliver actionable insights to business teams.
• Stay updated with the latest BI trends, tools and best practices.
• Flexible to work as an individual contributor.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Total IT Experience: 4.5 years
• Looker: 3 years of hands-on experience (LookML, dashboarding, data modelling)
• Power BI: 3 years of hands-on experience (DAX, Power Query, data modelling)
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Proficiency in data integration, ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Good to Have Qualifications

• Experience with cloud data platforms such as GCP/Azure.
• Knowledge of other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik Sense/QlikView) is an advantage.
• Experience in technical consulting is considered an added advantage.
• BI certifications in Looker (e.g., Looker Business Analyst, LookML Developer) or Power BI (e.g., PL-300).
