Key Responsibilities:
1. Loading Supervision:Ensure goods are loaded accurately as per pick list, invoice, and route plan.Supervise loading team to ensure correct handling of items and avoid damage during loading.Maintain FIFO/FEFO practices while loading where applicable.2. Coordination with Teams:Coordinate with dispatch team, picking staff, and transport vendors for smooth loading operations.Ensure vehicles are ready, clean, and compliant before initiating loading.3. Documentation & Verification:Verify dispatch documents (invoice, LR, pick list) before loading.Ensure proper stamping, labeling, and sealing of goods where applicable.Collect and verify Proof of Delivery (POD) and handover to the concerned department.4. System Updates:Update loading status in WMS or SAP to ensure real-time tracking of shipments.Report any discrepancies (shortage, excess, mismatch) to the dispatch or inventory team immediately.5. Safety & Compliance:Ensure loading follows safety protocols and hygiene standards.Confirm all loading staff use PPE and safe practices during operation.Comply with internal SOPs and statutory norms related to transport and dispatch.6. Vehicle Turnaround & Efficiency:Monitor and record vehicle turnaround time (TAT) and suggest improvements for faster operations.Coordinate to avoid delays or congestion during peak loading hours.
