Linux System Administrator L2

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Linux System Administrator with proficiency in Bash Scripting, Kubernetes Cluster Administration, and experience with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to join our team. In this role, you will install and configure Linux-based environments, automate processes using scripting, Kubernetes clusters, and work with cloud services. The ideal candidate should also possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams and work with end customers and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Linux OS Administration: Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, or similar).
• Bash Scripting: Develop and maintain efficient Bash scripts for automation of routine tasks, system monitoring, backups, and maintenance activities.
• Kubernetes Cluster Administration: Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Cloud Services Administration: Work with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to manage infrastructure, deploy applications, and optimize cloud resources. Proficiency in at least one of these cloud platforms is required.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with development, operations, and other technical teams to ensure smooth system integration, provide solutions, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Proactively monitor the health and performance of systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure for efficiency.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation for processes, systems, and workflows.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration and cloud services management.

Technical Proficiency:

• Linux OS (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, etc.)
• Bash scripting for system automation and administration
• Kubernetes for container orchestration and cluster management
• At least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex systems issues quickly and efficiently, applying analytical and creative thinking.
• Collaboration: Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
• Certifications (Preferred but not required):
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator
• Azure Administrator or similar certifications
• Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Additional Desired Skills:

• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
• Familiarity with containerization and container runtime environments (Docker, Podman, etc.).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, etc.).
