Liferay Developer

The Senior Liferay Developer/Architect is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade portals and web applications using Liferay DXP. You will need strong hands-on experience in Java, Liferay frameworks, and integration capabilities, along with the ability to mentor junior team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams. As the Senior Liferay Developer/Architect, your key responsibilities will include leading the design and development of Liferay-based portals, themes, portlets, hooks, and extensions. You will customize and configure Liferay to meet project and business requirements, integrate Liferay with third-party systems via REST, SOAP, or custom APIs, and perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, enforce best coding practices, and collaborate with UI/UX, backend, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software. You will also be responsible for preparing technical documentation, deployment plans, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), as well as mentoring junior developers and providing technical guidance when needed. It is essential to stay updated with Liferay's latest features and roadmap for effective solutioning. In terms of functional skills and competencies, you should have strong expertise in Liferay DXP (7.x), including themes, portlets (MVC and ServiceBuilder), hooks, and fragments. You should be proficient in Java, JSP, Servlets, and the Spring Framework, with hands-on experience in Liferay REST APIs, user and role management, workflows, and staging. Experience with application servers like Tomcat, familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AlloyUI, and optionally React, is desirable. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Maven/Gradle, Git, and DevOps practices is important, as well as experience with database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.,
