Job Description

As a part of Smiths Detection, a global leader in security and detection solutions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of people and infrastructure worldwide. Your work will revolve around managing the Learning Management System (LMS) to facilitate training and development initiatives effectively. Your responsibilities will include creating, activating, and deactivating user accounts, enrolling users in training courses, generating certificates, administering user access and permissions, and providing assistance in various LMS-related tasks. You will collaborate with the Global Training & Development Department to ensure that LMS processes align with business requirements and actively contribute to the maintenance of a conducive learning environment. In your role, you will be involved in problem-solving activities, where your solutions should be innovative, practical, and aligned with the organization's objectives. Your decisions and actions may impact work processes and outcomes, highlighting the importance of meticulous planning and execution to avoid delays or disruptions. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders is a key aspect of your role. You will support LMS process improvement initiatives, engage in technical meetings, and establish rapport within the business to enhance collaboration and information-sharing. Additionally, your technical expertise in learning technologies and information systems administration will be instrumental in implementing and enhancing the LMS functionalities effectively. To excel in this role, you should possess relevant experience in learning technologies or information systems administration, along with prior exposure to working with LMS. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential qualities for success. Fluency in written and spoken English is a must, considering the global nature of the role. Your contribution to the Training Strategy, LMS deployment, and user experience enhancements will be pivotal in supporting the overall objectives of the Training Department. By embracing change and fostering continuous improvement, you will play a key role in shaping a dynamic and efficient learning environment within Smiths Detection.
