As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank - Payments Technology, you will play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering reliable, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable.
As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

Participates in Release Management lifecycle including scheduling the release, documenting the change, coordinating between teams, communicating release status, identifying dependencies and deploying and validating the code.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- Proficiency in Release & Deployment
- Hands-on experience in coordinating and driving release activities, create and maintain documentation for release procedures
- Experience in effectively communicating changes to release or process to the right people at the right time in a consistent, easily consumable format
- Expertise in automating and streamlining release processes, Plan and execute release schedules
- Investigate and resolve issues that arise during or after a release
- Experience leading a team of engineers
- Good experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines such as Jules / Spinnaker
- Experience with testing tools / frameworks like cucumber, karate, blazemeter, jmeter
- Experience leveraging logging tools such as Splunk

- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- Familiarity with dev ops and dev ops practices
