Lead Platform Engineering

You will be responsible for architecting and implementing scalable, reliable cloud-based solutions within the Research & Development Department. Your primary focus will be overseeing infrastructure management to ensure seamless integration with Rust-based microservices. Additionally, you will be tasked with implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments, optimizing cloud costs for high performance and reliability, and driving platform security to meet industry standards. Your role will also involve automating workflows to enhance operational efficiency and collaborating with development and data science teams for platform integration. As the ideal candidate, you should possess expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, along with a strong background in architecting cloud infrastructure and security solutions. Proficiency in containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as Infrastructure as Code technologies like Terraform and Ansible, is essential for this role. Furthermore, you should have a good working knowledge of Open Search, Elastic Search, networking, security, and database management. Leadership experience, including the ability to mentor and manage teams, is highly desirable. A Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required for this position. Knowledge of serverless architectures, edge computing, observability tools, and SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principles will be beneficial.
