Job Description

As a Lead Platform Architect at Mastercard, your role involves driving the customer experience strategy through innovation and problem-solving. You will collaborate closely with the Infrastructure Design Engineering (IDE) team to ensure alignment of infrastructure and application architecture with Mastercard's security, scalability, reliability, and availability standards. Your expertise in systems architecture and commitment to quality will play a vital role in meeting high-level requirements and creating robust designs. - Gather requirements, conduct infrastructural analysis, and design solutions aligned with approved Mastercard technologies - Engage with peers, engineers, application teams, and users to ensure fulfillment of high-level requirements - Produce technical documentation and models to keep stakeholders informed and in agreement on architecture and infrastructure layout - Implement, manage, and support application infrastructure components while adhering to best practices - Resolve internet architectural and operational issues affecting global infrastructure and product availability - Contribute to setting new standards and evaluating technologies for deployment - Support regional projects, conduct incident diagnosis, root cause analysis, performance tuning, capacity planning, and configuration management - Monitor system stability and compatibility to ensure future success Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, or equivalent experience - Proficiency in web application architecture, middleware technologies, compute and storage allocation, load balancers, network principles, and operating systems - Familiarity with database technologies, DNS, Akamai, and methodologies to meet non-functional requirements - Understanding of Role Based Access Control, authentication, authorization mechanisms, and root cause analysis - Working knowledge of cloud technologies and experience with DevOps tools like Chef/Jenkins is advantageous Mastercard's decency quotient (DQ) forms the core of the company culture, emphasizing sustainability and unlocking global possibilities. Operating in over 210 countries and territories, Mastercard is dedicated to shaping a better future for all.
