Lead Java Database (Oracle) Engineer

As an Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst at our company, your role involves establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your primary objective is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. **Responsibilities:** - Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions, meet goals, and identify necessary system enhancements for deploying new products and process improvements - Resolve a variety of high-impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards - Provide expertise in areas and advanced knowledge of applications programming, ensuring application design aligns with the overall architecture blueprint - Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards - Develop comprehensive knowledge of how business areas integrate to achieve goals - Provide in-depth analysis to define issues and develop innovative solutions - Serve as an advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary - Assess risks in business decisions, considering the firm's reputation, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations **Qualifications:** **Technical Skills:** - Strong 10+ years of experience in JAVA, Spring/Spring Boot/Spring Batch, SOAP/Restful Services - Strong experience in SQL (Oracle). PL/SQL programming expertise is preferred - Strong Software design Skills - Good experience in Micro-Service development - Strong Experience with Messaging (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ) - Experience with Graph DB (e.g. Neo4J) is a plus - Expertise in Unix (Linux) commands & scripting - Process and tools for producing well-written low defect rate code - Experience with collaboration tools (source control) - Good Knowledge & Experience in Workflow (e.g. JBPM) is a plus **Soft Skills:** - Excellent aptitude for analysis and problem-solving - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Attention to detail - Self-Motivated and willingness to learn and contribute to the wider team **Education:** - Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience - Masters degree preferred This job description offers a high-level overview of your responsibilities.
