Lead - IT Data Engineering and Analytics

Role Overview: As a technology lead within the Global Customer Data Department at StoneX, you will collaborate with other technology leads to deliver ongoing data projects. In this role as a senior data engineer and tech lead, you will play a key part in architecting, designing, and implementing components within the cloud data platform for both ongoing operations and new data projects. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute and lead a team deliverable within defined project scope, focusing on both data and technical aspects with attention to detail. - Support Master data management processes and Profisee application support and enhancements. - Understand system protocols, data flows, and current/emerging technology tools to complete data transformation, storage, and distribution effectively. - Engage with other team leads to implement a high-quality data management program. - Focus on innovation and enablement to design and implement data pipelines for structured and unstructured data. - Understand capital market business problems, study and transform data as required. - Define key data domains and attributes in collaboration with other leads to standardize the data model and drive data quality across the enterprise. - Contribute to improving data quality of StoneX strategic data assets. - Oversee the day-to-day operations of junior data team members and actively participate in scrum and sprint rituals. Qualification Required: - 2+ years of experience in Master data management domain, preferably with exposure to Profisee application. - Prior experience as a DBA is highly desirable. - 5+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, and/or Production Support in large enterprises. - 3 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering or Software Development within the capital markets/trading industry. - Strong understanding of Enterprise architecture patterns, Object-Oriented & Service-Oriented principles, design patterns, and industry best practices. - Experience in leading a small to mid-technology team of highly qualified technical performers. - Proficiency in Python and one object-oriented programming language such as C# or Java. - Experience with database technologies like MSSQL, Postgres, or MySQL, and key-value/document databases like MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Casandra. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work with the business to extract critical concepts and transform them into technical tasks. - Ability to work and lead in an Agile methodology environment.,
