Lead - IT Architecture

As a Lead Engineer in the Global Customer Data Department at StoneX, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with other technology leads to deliver ongoing data projects. Your responsibilities will include architecting, designing, and implementing components within our cloud data platform for both existing operations and new projects. You will lead a team to deliver project scopes with a keen focus on data and technical details. Understanding system protocols, data flows, and emerging technology tools will be essential. Your role will involve engaging with other team leads to establish a high-quality data management program and contribute to designing data pipelines for structured and unstructured data. To excel in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Production Support in large enterprises, with 3 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering or Software Development in the capital markets/trading industry. A strong understanding of Enterprise architecture patterns, Object-Oriented & Service-Oriented principles, and design patterns is necessary. You will be expected to lead a small team of technical performers and facilitate discussions across diverse business and IT stakeholders. Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and database technologies such as MSSQL, Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Casandra is required. Additionally, experience with Databricks and Agile methodologies will be beneficial. Your role will also involve contributing to defining key data domains, driving data quality across the enterprise, and overseeing the operations of junior data team members. Your ability to innovate, collaborate, and lead in an Agile environment will be critical to success in this position.,
