Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer / LMTS

Role Overview: As a Lead Software Engineer in the Event Platform Services Team, you will be responsible for building integrated services aligned with the Future State Architecture. Your role will focus on delivering excellence in scalability, performance, and user experience. You will need to be a quick learner and self-starter who can work under pressure, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and contribute to a fun, creative, and fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will also include active engagement in deployments, monitoring, incident management, and ongoing operations activities. Key Responsibilities: - Build new and innovative components in a rapidly evolving market to enhance scale and efficiency. - Utilize emerging technologies and platforms to develop highly scalable solutions that meet current and future business requirements. - Contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including design, discovery, implementation, code reviews, automation, and testing. - Drive continuous improvement in process, controls, scalability, and maturity. - Lead your team by example in using engineering best practices and making relevant trade-offs. - Collaborate closely with Engineering Managers, Architects, and Lead Engineers in the application design process. - Engage with Product Managers to understand customer requirements and propose viable solutions. - Mentor team members through code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions. - Design and implement data architectures that align with business goals. - Uphold high standards for code quality, scalable architecture, performance, and reliability. - Thrive in a culture of high ownership, accountability, delivery, and innovation. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of professional software development experience in building distributed production systems. - At least 2 years of hands-on technical leadership experience. - Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming (e.g., Java) and scripting languages (e.g., NodeJs). - Experience with developing SaaS products over AWS public cloud infrastructure. - Strong expertise in API architecture, design patterns, and implementing RESTful/GraphQL services. - Proficiency in developing and optimizing data models across different database systems. - Familiarity with API security best practices and monitoring/logging tools. - Experience in real-time data streaming and event-driven architecture. - Proficiency in Git version control and CI/CD pipelines. - Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
