Lead Engineer - Analytics DevOps

Role Overview: LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join the Analytics Devops group. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining cloud and on-prem infrastructure and applications. Your role will involve driving automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement in development and operational processes. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Helm Charts, CloudFormation, or Ansible for consistent and scalable environments (Infrastructure as Code - IaC). - Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Gitlab, Github to enable continuous integration and deployment. - Work with Cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) and on-prem infrastructure (VMware, Linux servers) to deploy, manage, and monitor infrastructure and services. - Automate repetitive tasks, improve operational efficiency, and reduce human intervention in building and deploying applications and services. - Setup monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog to ensure high availability and performance of applications and infrastructure. - Collaborate with architects, operations, and developers to ensure seamless integration between development, testing, and production environments. - Implement and enforce security protocols/procedures, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability scanning and remediation. - Provide SME support for issues related to application deployment and DevOps activities. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field with 3-5 years of practical experience. - 3-5 years of experience in practicing DevOps. - Proven experience as a DevOps Engineering or Software Engineer in an agile, cloud-based environment. - Strong expertise with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and orchestration. - Proficient in Infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Helm Charts, Ansible etc. - Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Azure preferred. - Strong understanding of Linux/Unix system management. - Strong experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins. - Strong knowledge of version control systems like Git, GitLab, GitHub. - Experience with modern monitoring & logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog. - Working experience in scripting languages like Bash, Python or Groovy. - Experience with serverless architecture and microservices is a plus. - Experience with Databricks is a plus. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environments. - Knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, Load Balancers, etc.) and security practices (Firewalls, encryptions). - Working experience in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus. - Certifications in DevOps or Cloud Technologies (e.g., Azure DevOps Solutions, AWS Certified DevOps) are preferred.,
