Provide technical leadership within a matrix management function whereby you will have dotted (indirect) line reporting of the DevOps engineers. In practice this means that you will have responsibility and authority for the technical remit of the DevOps engineers but not have line management responsibilities freeing you up to focus on adding value within the technical domain as an individual contributor.
