Lead Data Scientist

As a Lead Data Scientist at Metayb, you will have the opportunity to influence and interact within the Data Sciences team and with Product teams. Your role will involve implementing solutions and contributing to the culture by modelling the culture. You will be expected to use your expertise in areas such as machine learning, probability theory & statistics, optimization theory, Simulation, Econometrics, Deep Learning, Natural Language processing, or computer vision. Your responsibilities will include owning the design and implementation of algorithmic solutions, driving development of problem statements, evaluating trade-offs of different models, and maintaining a well-documented codebase. Key Responsibilities: - Interact within the Data Sciences team and with Product teams - Implement solutions and contribute to the culture - Use expertise in machine learning, statistics, optimization, and more - Own design and implementation of algorithmic solutions - Drive development of problem statements - Evaluate trade-offs of different models - Maintain a well-documented codebase Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field - 6-8 years of professional experience in the industry - Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, Hadoop/Hive - Experience with Azure/Microsoft Fabric based Data Science services - Experience with Pyspark for Big data handling - Strong analytical thinking skills - Ability to creatively solve business problems - Experience developing mathematical and statistical models - Self-driven and passionate about solving real-world problems using data science - Experience in the FMCG/CPG domain - Experience with Sales Forecasting, Market Mix Modelling, and other sales analytics techniques - Experience with Gen AI technologies - Experience managing teams of 5-6 members - Proven hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports using BI tools - Effective written and verbal communication skills If you are passionate about digital transformation, cutting-edge technologies, and being part of a dynamic team dedicated to excellence, Metayb is the place for you!
