Laravel Technical Architect

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Design and define the architecture for School ERP and accounting modules
• Create scalable, secure, and high-performing system frameworks

• Develop efficient, normalized database structures to support ERP modules such as HR, Finance, Academics and Admissions
• Ensure database designs support scalability and future extensibility

• Guide the development team in implementing best practices using Laravel
• Lead technical discussions and ensure adherence to coding standards

• Document architecture, workflows, and technical specifications for the ERP system
• Maintain records of database schemas, API endpoints, and design decisions

• Oversee integration of third-party tools and services (e.g., payment gateways, SMS, WhatsApp APIs, and biometric systems)
• Ensure seamless interoperability between ERP modules and external systems.

• Work closely with stakeholders, product managers and business analysts to define project requirements
• Coordinate with the QA team to ensure robust testing of all modules

• Analyze system performance and implement optimizations to improve speed and reliability
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues in the production environment.

• Provide mentorship to junior developers and foster technical growth within the team
• Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Laravel framework and PHP development
• Experience in architecting ERP systems, especially in school or accounting domains
• Proficiency in database design and management (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Experience with front-end technologies (Blade, jQuery, Bootstrap)
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, or similar cloud and containerization technologies
• Knowledge of industry-standard security practices (e.g., encryption, authentication, data protection).

• 5+ years of professional experience in Laravel development
• 2+ years of experience in a Technical Architect role
• Experience in developing and managing School ERP systems is highly preferred
• Familiarity with accounting software or finance-related modules is a plus.
