Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design and architect
scalable Kafka-based data streaming platforms
to support real-time data ingestion, processing, and delivery across business-critical systems.
Own the full lifecycle of Kafka implementations from
initial design and deployment to monitoring, tuning, and support
in production environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Data Engineering, Application Development) to
integrate Kafka with microservices, databases, and big data tools
(e.g., Spark, Flink, Hadoop).
Lead
Kafka cluster management
activities, including capacity planning, partitioning strategies, replication, retention policies, and disaster recovery.
Develop
automated monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions
to ensure observability and resilience of the Kafka ecosystem.
Troubleshoot and resolve Kafka performance issues, message delivery failures, and consumer/producer bottlenecks.
Ensure compliance with
data governance, security, and operational best practices
.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience in
enterprise-scale Kafka deployments
(multi-tenant, high-throughput, real-time use cases)
Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures
Familiarity with
regulatory and security compliance
in data streaming environments
Ability to
mentor junior engineers
and lead technical initiatives across teams
