Short Description/Job Objective
The TeamViewer Digital Employee Experience (DEX) platform finds and resolves IT issues before they affect users. Over the past several years we have successfully built and released products which makes IT administrators' day-to-day life easier. Our vision is to become THE unified endpoint management solution for our customers.We’re looking for a Junior Software Engineer to play a key role in supporting and enhancing our DEX capabilities, trusted by large enterprise customers. In this role, you’ll be essential to maintaining and improving the experience for our existing customers, enabling them to utilize our product’s capabilities to the fullest.As part of an Agile team, you’ll be an individual contributor, working primarily with cross-platform C++, OpenSSL and SQLLite on maintaining and enhancing our DEX Client (Agent). This will be deployed on a wide range of OS platforms (across Windows, Mac & Linux versions), and run as a background service, to monitor the device’s performance metrics and upload to a central platform
Responsibilities
- Enhance and maintain existing capabilities on our DEX Client and associated modules, in modern C++
- Continuously Integrate, build and deploy our solution from test system to production
- Optimize and enhance our software with new, efficient algorithms and state-of-the-art software tools and technologies
- Work independently on solutions for specified requirements and be responsible for complying with time and quality specifications
- Ensure that our software is secure & stable and runs efficiently on many different systems (more than 2.5 billion installations)
- Monitor the latest technical developments in your field, upskill yourself and make proposals for improvement
- Collaborate with field teams (like Customer Support & Sales Engineering) to analyze customer issues and provide workarounds, and code-fixes
Requirements
- A university degree in the field of information technology, computer science and engineering or a related subject
- 2+ years of professional experience in the field of software development
- Solid knowledge of C++ is mandatory
- Experience in setting up & managing VMs using Hypervisor, debugging using PDBs, and analysing memory dumps
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio or Rider, Resharper, GIT, ADO/TFS build
- Familiarity with boost, OpenSSL, SQLLite and other open-source libraries
- Understanding of Clean Code and Design Patterns for object-orientated programming
- A positive and solution-oriented mindset paired with a structured and analytical way of thinking/working, being a team player, as well as motivated to learn new things
- Experience in any of the following is desirable: parallel programming (multi-threading), test automation, network communications (secure websockets), digital certificates/PKI
- Knowledge of SQL or C# is a plus
- Familiarity with AI-tools for coding (eg: Co-pilot) is a plus
- Fluency in English is mandatory, further languages are a plus
