At GoDiverse, we're on a mission to reshape UK public procurement for the better. We are an early-stage tech company building an AI-powered platform to help public bodies discover and engage with Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), driven by the new Procurement Act 2023. Our goal is to level the playing field for the 99.9% of UK businesses that are SMEs, ensuring they get fair access to the annual public spend.

The Role

A Junior Software Developer who helps wire the MVP together end to end: connect UI to inference APIs, integrate data services, and support test automation so demos and pilots run smoothly. You’ll work across the stack with close guidance from the AI Engineer and Data Engineer to turn prototypes into reliable, demoable product flows.

What You’ll Do

• Integrate APIs: Connect front-end screens to REST/GraphQL endpoints for matching and NLP; handle auth, error states, and loading for smooth UX.
• Data plumbing: Implement small ETL tasks, helpers, and resolvers to fetch, cache, and present procurement data in UI lists, filters, and detail views.
• UI wiring: Add/adjust Next.js components, forms, and tables to surface scores, rationales, and filters with clear affordances.
• Testing and tooling: Write unit/integration tests for API calls and UI flows; add scripts, linters, and basic CI to keep the MVP stable.
• Delivery support: Help prepare demo datasets, seed scripts, and configuration; document endpoints and flows for quick onboarding.

What We’re Looking For

• 1–2+ years experience or strong projects in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python; familiarity with React/Next.js and REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Comfortable reading API specs, handling JSON, and implementing clean fetch patterns, state handling, and error boundaries.
• Basic testing skills (e.g., Jest/React Testing Library or PyTest) and willingness to learn CI and containers with mentorship.
• Nice to have: exposure to FastAPI/Flask, Supabase/Azure/AWS, and interest in accessibility and performance basics.
