Job Description

Java Application support engineer

Responsibilities:

Provide
L2/L3 application support
for Java-based applications in production.
Perform
root cause analysis (RCA)
and resolve high-priority incidents within SLAs.
Analyze and troubleshoot issues using
log monitoring tools
(Splunk, Grafana, Kibana, etc.).
Debug Java code to identify defects, performance issues, and configuration problems.
Work closely with development teams to deploy fixes, enhancements, and patches.
Perform system monitoring, health checks, and ensure application stability.
Participate in on-call support rotations (if applicable).
Maintain proper documentation of issues, RCA, and preventive actions.
Contribute to performance improvement and automation initiatives.

Required Skills:

Strong hands-on experience in
Core Java, OOPs, Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading
.
Solid experience in
Application Support / Production Support
for Java applications.
Proficiency in
log analysis, debugging, performance troubleshooting
.
Experience with
Monitoring / Logging tools
: Splunk, Grafana, Kibana, ELK, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, etc.
Good knowledge of
SQL
and ability to write/optimize queries.
Understanding of
Web Services (REST/SOAP)
, Microservices concepts preferred.
Familiarity with
Linux/Unix commands
for server-side troubleshooting.
Strong communication and client-handling skills.
