Java Lead

The Engineering Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for leading various engineering activities, including the design, acquisition, and deployment of hardware, software, and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. Your primary goal in this role is to lead efforts to ensure that quality standards are being met within the existing and planned framework. As an Engineering Lead Analyst, your responsibilities will include serving as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders, providing direction for all firm-mandated controls and compliance initiatives, projects within the group, and creating a technology domain roadmap. You will also ensure that all integration of functions align with business goals, define necessary system enhancements for deploying new products and process improvements, recommend product customization for system integration, and identify problem causality, business impact, and root causes. Additionally, you will exhibit knowledge of how your specialty area contributes to the business, advise or mentor junior team members, impact the engineering function by influencing decisions, and appropriately assess risk when making business decisions. You will contribute to the ideal architecture of the software, drive the adoption of capabilities across regions, and participate in the development of microservice architecture, including RESTAPI and GraphQL. Furthermore, you will assist in troubleshooting data and client experience issues, create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, and build infrastructure for optimal data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources. Your role will also involve assembling large, complex data sets, identifying and implementing internal process improvements, building analytics tools, working with stakeholders to address data-related technical issues, and ensuring data security across multiple data centers and cloud regions. You will be required to create data tools for analytics and data science team members, work with data and analytics experts to enhance the functionality of the data system, and have the ability to adjust priorities quickly as needed. In terms of software requirements, you must have expertise in HBase, MongoDB, Oracle, CI/CD, LightSpeed, OpenShift, ML/AL, Java, Java Microservices, Python, PySpark, Hadoop, Google, and AWS. Qualifications: - Languages: Java (expert), Python (proficiency is a plus) - Frameworks: Spring Boot (deep expertise), Java Microservices, REST API, GraphQL - Messaging/Streaming: Apache Kafka (deep expertise) - Databases: HBase, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL - DevOps/CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, OpenShift, Git - Big Data: Hadoop, PySpark - Cloud Platforms: AWS, Google Cloud (GCP) - Other: LightSpeed (experience is a plus), ML/AL concepts (awareness is a plus) Education: - Bachelor's degree/University degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience - Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering preferred This role falls under the Technology job family group, specifically Systems & Engineering.
