Job Description

Summary:

The IT Support L1 Specialist is responsible for providing first-level technical assistance to end users and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems, applications, and tools used in RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) operations. This role combines strong troubleshooting skills with an understanding of RCM processes and applications to support the operational workflow effectively.

Location: Sakinaka - Andheri East (Mumbai)

Working days: Monday to Friday (Sat- Sun off)

Timings : 7:30pm to 4:30am (Night Shift)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, network, and application-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot RCM-specific tools and applications such as medical billing platforms, clearinghouse portals, and claim management systems.
  • Assist users in resolving login, access, and system performance issues related to RCM operations.
  • Coordinate with L2/L3 or vendor support teams for issue escalation and resolution.
  • Install, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, and peripheral devices for the operations team.
  • Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and data access within RCM-related systems.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and user access records accurately.
  • Monitor network connectivity, VPN access, and remote desktop tools used by billing teams.
  • Support regular data backup, antivirus management, and IT security compliance.
  • Document recurring issues and contribute to the internal knowledge base for user self-help.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in IT Support or Technical Helpdesk roles.
  • Basic understanding of RCM workflow, including patient registration, charge entry, payment posting, and AR follow-up.
  • Familiarity with medical billing software and tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a night-shift environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in IT (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, or equivalent).
  • Experience in healthcare IT support or US medical billing domain.
  • Understanding of data security protocols and HIPAA compliance requirements.
