Job Description

As a Linux System Administrator, your role involves managing, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers and infrastructure. You will be responsible for performing system updates, patching, and security hardening to ensure compliance. Monitoring system performance and implementing preventive maintenance will also be part of your key responsibilities. In addition, you will diagnose and troubleshoot server, network, and application issues, manage user access controls, data backup routines, and restoration procedures, and participate in Incident, Change & Audit management processes. It is essential to maintain detailed documentation including system configurations, SOPs, and change logs. Automating daily operational tasks using Bash, Python, Ansible, etc., is another crucial aspect of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Manage, configure, and maintain Linux servers and infrastructure. - Perform system updates, patching, and security hardening. - Monitor system performance and implement preventive maintenance. - Diagnose and troubleshoot server, network, and application issues. - Manage user access controls, data backup routines, and restoration procedures. - Participate in Incident, Change & Audit management processes. - Maintain detailed documentation including system configurations, SOPs, and change logs. - Automate daily operational tasks using Bash, Python, Ansible, etc. Qualification Required: - Strong hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Debian). - Proficiency in VMware / Virtualization / Hypervisor management. - Experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix, Nagios, SolarWinds, etc. - Good understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, VPN). - Experience with backup tools such as Veeam, rsync, cron-based solutions. - Working knowledge of DevOps tools: Git, GitLab, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines. - Exposure to Docker / Kubernetes and cloud services (AWS / Azure) is a plus. As a Linux System Administrator, having RHCSA / RHCE or equivalent certification would be highly advantageous. Additionally, strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, good documentation and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional and global teams are essential soft skills for this role.,
