Job Title: IT Asset Management Analyst
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Asset Management Analyst to join our growing IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking, maintaining, and optimizing the full lifecycle of IT assets from procurement through retire mentensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence. This position is ideal for a professional with a foundational background in IT or operations, looking to deepen their expertise in a structured and process-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Asset Tracking & Inventory: Maintain precise and up-to-date records of all IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and associated documentation, using IT Asset Management (ITAM) systems.
- Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of assets, including procurement, deployment, relocation, in-use tracking, storage, retirement, and disposal, ensuring data integrity across systems.
- Asset Deployment & Maintenance: Oversee the distribution and maintenance of IT equipment to ensure assets are operational and efficiently utilized.
- Auditing & Compliance: Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure physical inventory matches system records and complies with regulatory standards and internal controls.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Generate reports and visual dashboards (using Power BI or equivalent) to communicate asset utilization, lifecycle status, and cost metrics to leadership.
- Barcode & RFID Integration: Support implementation and use of barcode scanning, RFID tagging, and related automation technologies to enhance asset traceability.
- Policy Enhancement: Participate in continuous improvement of IT asset policies, documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors for procurement, maintenance, and support-related activities.
- Ticket Resolution: Respond to asset-related service requests, incidents, and internal inquiries in alignment with defined SLAs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in IT asset management, IT support, inventory control, or infrastructure operations.
- Proficient understanding of IT hardware components (laptops, desktops, monitors, servers, network equipment, and peripherals).
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, HPSM) and asset management tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office productivity tools.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and its application in asset and service management.
- Proven experience in IT asset management or related operational fields.
- Exposure to cloud asset tracking and SaaS platform management (e.g., ServiceNow SAM Pro, Lansweeper).
- Experience working with barcode/RFID tagging and asset scanning solutions.
- Working knowledge of software licensing models and compliance principles.
- Experience using Power BI or similar tools for dashboard creation and asset reporting.
