IoT Architect

POSITION OVERVIEW FTC solar is expanding its Software Engineering strength to cater the ever-growing market interests in FTCs tracker products. As our market expands and as our customer base increases, we strive to achieve customer expectations by engineering state-of-the art Solar Tracker products. FTC needs enthusiastic Software Architect to work with the internal Team of Software Engineers and engaging with outsourced resources. This position is based at Bangalore, India. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop high-level architectural designs and blueprints for software applications using Python, with a specific emphasis on IoT integration. Define system architecture and components to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability in a Python and IoT-centric environment. Evaluate and recommend appropriate Python frameworks and IoT platforms to support the software architecture. Work closely with stakeholders to understand and analyze software requirements, with a focus on Python and IoT-based solutions. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and Python-centric, IoT-integrated architectural designs. Ensure that Python and IoT-based architectural solutions align with business goals and objectives. Create prototypes and proof of concepts using Python and IoT technologies to validate architectural decisions and demonstrate feasibility. Iterate on designs based on feedback and emerging Python and IoT technologies. Define and implement best practices for Python and IoT code quality, testing, and deployment. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure the reliability and performance of Python and IoT-based software systems. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of software architectures, designs, and technical decisions, emphasizing Python and IoT-related details. Communicate complex technical concepts, especially those related to Python and IoT, to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Software Architect or similar role with a strong emphasis on Python and IoT technologies. In-depth knowledge of software design principles, patterns, and best practices, particularly in the context of Python development and IoT integration. Strong proficiency in Python programming. Experience with IoT platforms, protocols, and device integration. Experience with cloud computing platforms and services, with an emphasis on Python and IoT-centric solutions.
