Integration Engineer - API Gateway

As an Integration Solutions Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions using various technologies and platforms such as API gateways, ESBs, iPaaS, and message queues. You will analyze business requirements and translate them into technical integration designs, as well as develop and maintain APIs and data transformation processes. Your role will involve configuring and managing integration platforms and tools, monitoring integration flows, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with software developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders to understand integration needs and deliver effective solutions. Ensuring the security, reliability, and scalability of integration solutions will be a priority, along with documenting integration designs, specifications, and processes. Staying updated on the latest integration technologies and best practices is essential, as well as participating in code reviews and providing technical guidance. To be successful in this position, you should have 3-5 years of experience in software development or integration, with proven experience in designing and implementing system integrations. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or Node.js is required, along with a strong understanding of API concepts (REST, SOAP) and experience working with APIs. Experience with integration patterns and principles, data formats like XML and JSON, databases, and querying languages (e.g., SQL) is necessary. Troubleshooting and debugging skills in complex integrated environments, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills, are also important. Preferred qualifications include experience with specific integration platforms or tools like Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, Apache Camel, Talend, Informatica, Azure Integration Services, or AWS Integration Services. Familiarity with message queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ), cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), security best practices in integration, CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments, and knowledge of industry standards or protocols relevant to the business. Ideally, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
