1. Position in the organization:

Reports to : Manager Maintenance Direct reports : Plant Head / Plant Manager Indirect reports : General Manager - Projects

1. Objective of Job:

• To ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, calibration, and reliability of all instrumentation and control systems across the plant.
• To focus on minimizing downtime, optimizing process performance.
• To ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

1. Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Calibration

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance of all field instruments (pressure, temperature, level, flow transmitters, control valves, analysers, etc.).
• Schedule and supervise instrument calibration in line with ISO and statutory requirements.
• Troubleshoot control systems and PLC/DCS-related instrumentation issues.
• Maintaining online data to the pollution control board server.
• Maintaining of online data of piezometer for water sources in premises if required.

Installation & Commissioning

• Participate in installation, testing, and commissioning of new instruments and control systems.
• Review instrument drawings, datasheets, and loop diagrams
• Ensure correct wiring, configuration, and loop checking.

Control Systems & Automation

• Assist in the maintenance of PLC/DCS/SCADA systems and interfaces.
• Modify control logic or instrument settings under approved change procedures.
• Coordinate with process and electrical teams for automation improvement projects.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain updated calibration records, maintenance logs, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure all instruments meet safety and environmental compliance standards.
• Support audits (internal/external) by providing necessary technical documentation.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement improvements to enhance system reliability and process efficiency.
• Support root cause analysis of instrument-related failures.
• Recommend upgrades or replacements for obsolete instruments.

1. Educational Qualification:

• B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation / Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering.

1. Experience:

• 58 years in instrumentation maintenance, preferably in a continuous process or manufacturing industry (e.g., Fertilizer, Petrochemical, Chemical, Food Processing
