Job Description

Install, configure, and administer IIS Web Servers (IIS 8/10/above) in production and non-production environments.
Manage application pools, sites, bindings, SSL/TLS certificates, and virtual directories.
Implement server hardening, patch management, and compliance controls.
Monitor web server performance, availability, and security using logs and monitoring tools.
Troubleshoot IIS-related issues (authentication failures, HTTP errors, SSL/TLS issues, load balancing).
Integrate IIS with Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos, NTLM, and SSO solutions.
Manage load balancing, clustering, and high availability for IIS web farms.
Coordinate with developers to deploy and configure web applications securely.
Automate IIS administration tasks using PowerShell or scripting.
Maintain documentation for IIS configurations, deployment standards, and runbooks.
Collaborate with SecOps for web application vulnerability remediation (OWASP Top 10, SSL scans).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong experience in IIS administration (IIS 8/8.5/10/above).
Knowledge of Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022) administration.
Expertise in SSL/TLS, certificates management, and HTTPS configuration.
Strong troubleshooting skills in IIS logs, Event Viewer, and network traces (Wireshark, Fiddler).
Familiarity with reverse proxy, load balancing, and CDN concepts.
Knowledge of scripting/automation (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch).
Understanding of application security principles and web server hardening.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (SCOM, Splunk, SolarWinds, Dynatrace).

Preferred Certifications:

Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator / Security Operations Analyst.
ITIL Foundation (good-to-have).
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (preferred for SecOps environments).
