Why This Role Matters

As the senior-most HR voice in the company, youll own the entire people function — from compliance and hiring to building a vibrant culture and aligning HR practices with business goals. This role is ideal for a grounded, self-driven HR professional who has scaled teams and systems in MSME setups and thrives in lean, agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy & Policy Formation: Establish and standardize HR policies, procedures, and frameworks to support scaling teams.

Talent Acquisition & Retention: Lead hiring across levels with a sharp eye for cultural fit and long-term growth potential.

Employee Engagement: Foster a healthy, transparent, and performance-driven workplace culture through creative engagement practices.

Compliance & Statutory Processes: Ensure adherence to all labor laws, PF/ESIC, shops & establishment norms, and handle audits where required.

Learning & Development: Identify training needs and create low-cost, high-impact learning initiatives for workforce development.

Performance Management: Design and roll out appraisal systems and KRAs to improve employee accountability and career progression.

Payroll & HR Ops: Oversee end-to-end HR operations, including payroll, attendance systems, and HRIS (if any).

Workforce Planning: Collaborate with functional heads to manage workforce productivity, contract labor (if applicable), and resource planning.

What We’re Looking For

8–15 years of HR experience in MSMEs or family-managed businesses, preferably in manufacturing, services, or tech sectors.

A generalist HR mindset with a strong grip on HR operations, compliance, and hiring.

Proven ability to build systems from scratch, manage change, and win trust at all levels.

Comfortable with multitasking, taking ownership, and rolling up sleeves when needed.

Fluent in local language and culture while being aligned with modern HR thinking.

Knowledge of HRMS tools, payroll systems, and statutory requirements is essential.
