Head of Engineering

Role Overview: You will be joining AlgoKart as the Head of Engineering in Jaipur, responsible for defining the technical architecture and roadmap of the institutional-grade algorithmic trading marketplace. Your leadership role will involve leading the delivery of various components such as marketplace, backtesting, portfolio dashboards, broker integrations, and compliance pipelines. Additionally, you will play a key role in building and mentoring the engineering team in Jaipur while collaborating with the founders to ensure a balance between speed and scalability. Taking ownership of security, reliability, and compliance will be essential in this position, as you report directly to the founder with a clear path to becoming the CTO as the company scales. Key Responsibilities: - Define AlgoKart's technical architecture and roadmap - Lead the delivery of marketplace, backtesting, portfolio dashboards, broker integrations, and compliance pipelines - Build and mentor the Jaipur-based engineering team - Collaborate with founders to balance speed vs. scalability - Take ownership of security, reliability, and compliance Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in product companies - Strong proficiency in backend systems such as Node.js, Python, Go, or Java - Experience in designing scalable architectures, APIs, and real-time systems - Exposure to React/SPA frontends - Proven track record of building and shipping real products, not limited to service projects - Previous leadership and mentoring experience - Must be based in Jaipur for on-site leadership Additional Company Details (if present): AlgoKart is India's first institutional-grade algorithmic trading marketplace, focused on transforming how investors discover, test, and deploy trading strategies.
