Generative AI Applied Scientist

As a Generative AI Applied Scientist at Pandita AI, you will be an integral part of the core research team in Mysore, focusing on leveraging generative AI to address real-world problems. Your role will involve a combination of deep research, problem identification, and deployment of production-grade solutions. Here are the key responsibilities: - Proactively identify high-value problem areas suitable for generative AI applications. - Translate vague or emerging requirements into well-defined machine learning tasks and implement solutions. - Design and build custom generative models such as Transformers, LLMs, Diffusion Models, and VAEs. - Manage the entire model development lifecycle from prototyping to deployment on cloud/API. - Demonstrate strong communication skills to engage with customers, define problem statements, and communicate impactful outcomes. - Collaborate with research, product, and engineering teams to integrate generative AI into vertical solutions. Qualifications Required: - PhD or Masters with Thesis in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or related field with at least 5 years of experience. - Strong research background with publications in top-tier conferences like IEEE TPAMI, CVPR, ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS, and ACL. - Expertise in deep generative models, representation learning, and probabilistic methods. - Hands-on experience in developing scalable models for real-world problems. - Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, and Hugging Face. - Willingness to work onsite in Mysore and collaborate across different time zones. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in LLM fine-tuning, multimodal systems, or diffusion-based generation. - Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, causal inference, or workflow agents. - Proficient in deploying models using Docker, ONNX, or cloud-native APIs (AWS/GCP). - Track record of exploring novel application areas and pioneering innovative solutions.
