GCP Engineer

Role Overview:

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure cloud solutions on GCP.
• Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Optimize cloud resources for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Automate deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, or similar).
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and cloud governance policies.
• Work closely with development and operations teams for seamless cloud integration.
• Manage databases, storage, networking, and access controls in GCP.
• Implement and maintain cloud backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Stay updated with the latest GCP services and industry trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience with GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Kubernetes Engine, etc.).
• Hands-on expertise in Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE).
• Knowledge of networking, security, and IAM in GCP.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• GCP certification (Associate/Professional) is a plus.
