Fullstack Developer Lead

Key Purpose of the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with experience in the eCommerce platformto help build, optimize, and maintain our eCommerce infrastructure. You will work onboth the frontend and backend, implementing scalable and robust eCommerce solutions.The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems and befamiliar with the Medusa platforms architecture and APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

Full Stack Development:

o Develop, maintain, and optimize full-stack eCommerce solutions using theMedusa platform.

o Create clean, maintainable code on both the frontend and backend, ensuringhigh performance and scalability.

o Integrate third-party services and APIs, including payment gateways, shippingproviders, and other external systems.

Backend Development:

o Design and implement robust backend services and microservices usingNode.js, Express, and Medusas APIs.

o Develop custom features, plugins, and modules within the Medusa platformto extend its functionality.

o Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL for data managementand optimization.

Frontend Development:

o Build responsive, user-friendly, and high-performance frontend interfaces usingmodern JavaScript frameworks like React.js or Next.js.

o Ensure seamless integration with Medusas headless architecture and supportheadless commerce implementations.

o Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement high-quality user experiences acrossdevices.

API Integration & Microservices:

o Create and consume RESTful APIs to integrate with third-party platforms, ensuringsmooth and secure data exchange.

o Work on API extensions and customizations within Medusa to meet unique businessneeds.

o Develop microservices for modular architecture and scalable performance¢ Database Management:

o Design and optimize database schemas using PostgreSQL or MySQL

o Implement data migrations, indexing, and optimization strategies to ensure fastqueries and scalability.

¢ DevOps & CI/CD:

o Collaborate with the DevOps team to set up continuous integration anddeployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

o Ensure the application is scalable and optimized for performance on cloudplatforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

¢ Collaboration & Communication:o Work closely with product owners, designers, and cross-functional teams totranslate business requirements into technical solutions.

o Participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and technical discussionsto improve the codebase and overall project efficiency.

Requirements:

¢ Technical Expertise:

o Strong experience with Medusa eCommerce platform, including customizationand API usage.

o Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Express, and React.js or Next.js.

o Experience with RESTful APIs and working with headless commerce systems

o Knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and working withdata schemas and migrations.

o Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).

o Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshootcomplex technical issues.

o Ability to design scalable and maintainable architectures for large eCommercesystems

¢ Soft Skills:

o Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a teamenvironment

o Self-motivated, with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritizetasks effectively.

Educational Qualification / Experience Desired:

1. Experience with Medusa plugins and creating custom functionalities 2.Familiarity with other modern JavaScript frameworks. 3. Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization tools Redington Limited
