Roles & Responsibilities:We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Governance Analyst to support our enterprise data governance initiatives with a particular focus on contractual data review, classification, and cataloguing. This role sits at the intersection of data management, legal, and compliance, and plays a critical role in identifying, tagging, and structuring data rights and usage clauses from vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and third-party data provider documents.Key Responsibilities:
Contract Review & Metadata Tagging:Analyze contracts, data use agreements, and vendor documentation to extract key metadata such as usage rights, data ownership, renewal terms, restrictions, licensing models, and data sensitivity.Tag and classify contractual data terms into an internal metadata framework or data catalog.Data Cataloguing:Maintain and update the enterprise data catalog with information derived from contracts.Link contract metadata with datasets, systems, or business domains where the data is used.Governance Support:Support the implementation and monitoring of data governance policies and standards.Assist in defining data stewardship responsibilities and collaborate with data stewards across business functions.Collaboration & Documentation:Liaise with legal, procurement, data owners, and technical teams to validate interpretations of contract clauses.Document contract review processes, classification schemes, and governance workflows.
