Role Overview
We are looking for a
Full-Stack Data Scientist
who can
design, build, and deploy end-to-end data pipelines, models, and insights
. Unlike a traditional data science role that stops at modeling, this role demands ownership across the full stack — from
data engineering
to
analytics
to
ML model deployment
.You will work closely with the founder, product, and tech teams to create
intelligent dashboards, student success prediction models, and institutional performance insights
.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Management
- Design and implement data pipelines for ingestion from apps, IoT devices, and institutional ERP systems.
- Build and maintain ETL workflows for cleaning, transforming, and storing large education datasets.
- Architect and manage data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.).
Analytics & Insights
- Develop dashboards and reporting systems for institutions (faculty, admin, management).
- Provide behavioral, academic, and operational insights to drive decision-making.
- Work with business teams to translate raw data into meaningful KPIs.
Machine Learning & AI
- Build predictive models for student performance, dropout risks, placement readiness, and engagement levels.
- Experiment with AI-based personalization engines for student learning journeys.
- Deploy models into production-ready APIs or applications.
Collaboration & Strategy
- Collaborate with product, tech, and operations teams to integrate insights into BizVidya’s solutions.
- Provide technical support in fundraising discussions (showcasing data capability to investors).
- Mentor interns/junior analysts as the team scales.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in data science + data engineering + ML deployment.
- Hands-on with:
- Programming: Python, R, SQL, PySpark
- Data Engineering: Airflow, Kafka, DBT, ETL frameworks
- ML/AI: Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch
- Data Viz: Power BI, Tableau, or Plotly/Dash
- Cloud: AWS/GCP/Azure (data pipelines, ML deployment)
- Ability to take ownership from raw data → models → deployed insights.
- Prior experience in EdTech, IoT data, or MSME analytics is a strong plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable with ambiguity and working purely on equity.
